Regardless of if I’ve lost all of my subscribers or not, I’ve decided it’s time to start writing again. The past couple years have been very tough, rewarding, and educating. I will probably go back and revisit some of those topics over time, but I’d like to give a little update about myself and what I’m up to.
- I’m Co-founder and CTO at Core-Apps, which I’ve technically been for the past three years, but for some reason neglected to ever mention it.
- I’m currently working out of a coworking space while exploring a new city.
- I now own a suit, although I still spend most days in shorts, sandals, and a t-shirt.
- I’m currently on a Galaxy Nexus, although I did have a brief stint of using a WP7 phone that I mostly enjoyed.
- I spend almost 100% of my development time on my company, which has me split between Objective-C, Java, Ruby, C++, and more on a daily basis. I’m enjoying my Ruby work the most currently.
- Even more-so than two years ago, I am continuously learning more about stars, star-stuff, and the universe.
- I’ve become an avid fan of Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, and Mad Men, amongst others
- I’ve switched from TextMate to BBEdit to my current love — Sublime Text
My goal is to aim for one post a week to start with. I have a short list of topics that I’ve recently encountered that I feel I have a unique perspective on or a few development problems that I feel like I found a unique solution that works well.

On series – I also enjoyed the Doctor Who-spin-off Torchwood. And Sherlock (BBC production)
Oh I love Sherlock. Torchwood was pretty good, but it really just helped tide me over between the last seasons of Doctor Who.
I’m over in San Francisco for the summer, maybe longer. I’m loving the weather
